Ja Ja Re Apne Mandirwa - IndianRaga Labs Pune

IndianRaga Labs is a creative immersion experience for talented young musicians. In groups of 5-7, participants come together over a weekend to collaborate on a 3-min musical composition under the guidance of an IndianRaga instructor. They then record the audio and video in a professional studio, to create a high quality, professional video of their performance, which is released on IndianRaga’s YouTube channel. While the final video is a lasting memory of their musical ability, the journey itself is an enriching one to create lasting friendships, working with other musicians, and understanding complexities of an actual audio recording and video shoot.

Ja Ja Re is a beautiful song set in Raga Bhimpalas by Niyamat Khan who composed bandishes by the pen name 'Sadarang'. He composed in the 18th century and has influenced Hindustani classical music mainly through his compositions.

We bring to you for the very first time participants of our senior group from the Pune Labs session.
