The filmmakers who produced Fast-Forward Girls are trailblazers in their own rights. In 2014 less than 5% of major motion pictures were directed by women. And while the numbers get slightly better in the surrounding departments, a total of only 20% of the crew members behind the camera were women. Mimi, Rose, and Cristina are strong examples of filmmakers pushing forward to improve those numbers for future generations and broaden the voices responsible for our entertainment.
