The Mojave Desert is a hard environment to exist in today, even with all our modern conveniences. Imagine the Mojave a thousand years ago or even further. Imagine not only surviving but thriving in an environment such as that! Amazing.
This was an exciting trip as I documented multiple things showing human occupation such as caves utilized for shelter, new (to me) rock art, and of course a giant roasting pit directly in front of cave.
People were everywhere in this desert and have been for a very long time.
