Rab Cake or rapska torta is a traditional Croatian delicacy that was first created for Pope Alexander III in the 12th century. Benedictine nuns on the island of Rab, who invented this cake made of almonds, citruses, and maraschino cherry liqueur, have been keeping its secret for centuries.
Since Kuća rabske torte was founded in 2015, Rab Cake has stopped being a privilege of just Christian festivities and entered even secular households.
