Canal 6 is the national television network owned by Telecorporación Salvadoreña since 1985, and it is the oldest television network in El Salvador. The station was founded on September 7, 1956 as "YSEB-TV". The station lasted ten years under Telecentro, S.A. (in El Salvador), and it returned the broadcast as "YSLA-TV" on April 6, 1973 in color and operated by Canal Seis, S.A. de C.V.
