The real Bus was new to London Transport in 1962 & was withdrawn from service in London in 1987 after an accident damaged the Bus.
It was purchased by Clydeside Scottish who later merged with Western Scottish in 1989.
Clydeside would be separated from Western in 1991 resulting in Western being the last Scottish Bus Group subsidiary to be privatised in late 1991.
Clydeside was sold to it's management with the help of Luton & District (formerly part of United Counties) & renamed Clydeside 2000.
Luton & District would be sold to The British Bus Group in 1994 with Clydeside following a few months later.
British Bus Group would be sold to Cowie in the summer of 1996 & by 1998 Clydeside had become Arriva Scotland West although the Routemaster would be long gone before then being sold to Blue Triangle of Rainham in 1995.
They will be a video of the same Bus in Clydeside 2000 livery (part of a gift set) when that releases in the next month or so.
