In this video, we explored several highlights around Hong Kong Island and
beyond.
• We began at the 1881 Heritage site, then headed up to Victoria Peak to take
in the sweeping views from the Sky Terrace overlooking Kowloon.
• Our next stop was Queensway Plaza in Admiralty, after which we made our
way to the Stanley Waterfront Promenade—a charming seaside area with
beautiful views, boutique shops, and a lively dining scene. While there, we
also visited the historic Murray House, Stanley Blake Pier, and the Stanley
Plaza complex.
• Our trip to Macau was equally memorable. We traveled by bus across the
world’s longest sea bridge from Hong Kong and returned by jet boat.
Macau offers a vibrant blend of Portuguese and Chinese heritage, incredible
food (including its famous egg tarts), lively casinos, and a unique mix of
European architecture and Asian atmosphere—earning its nickname, the
“Monte Carlo of the Orient.” In the Historic Centre of Macau, we wandered
along cobblestone streets and visited the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado
Square, and a traditional Chinese temple.
• Back in Hong Kong, we continued our journey to Lantau Island—Hong
Kong’s largest island—via the Ngong Ping 360 cable car, which crosses
Tung Chung Bay and provides stunning panoramic views of the South China
Sea. On the island, we explored the Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha), the Po
Lin Monastery, and the historic fishing village of Tai O. It was a perfect
contrast to the city, blending nature with culture and tradition.
• We later ended the day with a stroll along the Hong Kong Harbor waterfront,
taking in the iconic skyline by night.
