Watch Barn Owls grow in cottage nest

This video shows an intimate view inside a Barn Owl nest in an abandoned cottage in Duhallow, North Cork. Three young Barn Owls grow from small fluffy chicks completely dependent on the adults for food to fully grown beautiful Barn Owls which take their first flight and prepare for life away from the safety of the nest site.
The footage was filmed under licence as part of the Duhallow Barn Owl Conservation Project coordinated by BirdWatch Ireland and supported by the Duhallow Birdwatching Club with funding provided by IRD Duhallow through the LEADER Programme.
The video was edited by Ruth Hanniffy (https://ruthhanniffy.com/). Thanks to the landowner who allowed access to the cottage and helps with monitoring this nest each year.
