This is replacing the Tailgate Trim / Garnish / Bezel / Backup Lamp Housing on a 2005-2009 Legacy.
It should be identical for the 2005-2009 Outback too.
At first I thought this was from an accident from the previous owner. However the piece is such brittle plastic that it might have just been bumped.
