Pilates Reformer 30 Minute Jump Board Workout - Straighten Up, It’s Time to Jump!

Props: Franklin Ball (Peanut), Yoga Block (optional)
Focus: Deep Abdominals
Difficulty Rating: 3 (intermediate) - due to light spring load (lack of support) and challenging choreography
Duration: 30 Minutes

Machine Set-Up at START:
1Y (extra light) spring ON
Jump Board ON
Franklin Ball (Peanut), Playground Ball or Socks on Carriage
Yoga Block (optional) on floor alongside carriage

Get ready to sweat with this 30 minute Jump Board workout focused on the deep abdominals! The opening sequence is focused on straight leg jumps on an extra light spring to challenge your deep core strength and control. Most of the workout is performed on 1 yellow spring (extra light), but can also be done on 1 blue spring if you do not have an extra light spring on your machine. The light spring load is extremely challenging for the core because of increased air time requiring support from the core to hold the legs in mid-air. Please listen to my cues and be conscious of what is happening with your body and form.

Throughout the workout I use the “peanut” or Franklin Ball as my prop of choice to intensify the connection of the inner thigh, pelvic floor and psoas. If you do not own a “peanut” you can use a small 5” playground ball or a pair of rolled up thick socks. I also use a yoga block in the side-lying jump sequences for comfort at the head, neck and shoulder. The yoga block is completely optional.
Choreography in this workout is meant to challenge your coordination and control while hanging onto the “peanut”! So, have fun and listen to my cues and let those abdominals fire!

Stay until the end for a little talk about your hip flexors too!

The Jess P Fit YouTube channel has been the latest addition to her work within the fitness space that developed after the COVID pandemic hit in 2020! The YouTube channel quickly gained traction and momentum with specific interest on her advanced Pilates Reformer workouts. Her journey through fitness has moved quickly and continues to drive her motivation to inspire others to be healthy and fit in life!
