Stage 17 will take you to Obihiro. I trust you are doing your best with time keeping and those other point earning events. Obihiro was only settled in 1883 by Banseisha pioneers. In the early 1900s Hokkaido farmers started a tug of war contest with their work horses. This grew into the current horse racing sport of Banei. The race course is a straight 200 meter track with two hills and the horses have to pull sleds that can weigh up to a ton. Not sure of the ethics of this type of racing but it is considered a part of the cities traditional culture.
