Arnab Goswami: ‘Dog Walker Babu’ Returns, Arrogant System Slaps Citizens Again

An IAS officer who is well-known for enjoying dog walks in stadiums appears to have been given a long leash and more by the Center. Since IAS officer Sanjeev Khirwar has returned to the capital as Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Arnab Goswami, Editor-In-Chief of Republic Media Network, highlights the specialized opportunities for civil officials. IAS officers from the 1994 batch, Sanjeev Khirwar and his wife Rinku Dugga, are accused of clearing athletes from Delhi's Thayagaraj Stadium so they could take their dog for a walk. Khirwar, Delhi's Principal Secretary (Revenue), was moved to Ladakh following the altercation. After being moved to Arunachal Pradesh, Dugga retired from the military in 2023.
