Starting at the Poads Rd entrance of the Tararuas (near Levin), I make way to one of the most picturesque locations in the Tararuas, Arete. I then traverse the rugged unmarked main northern range via the precarious Waiohine Pinnacles, Tarn Ridge, and Mitre peak, before taking a longer alternative exit route out via the Blue range.
(Sorry for my poor pronunciation of Arete)
