In this video we will show you 1300 years old fort which is situated on the top of a mountain in a thick forest. This fort was constructed by Raja Tal in the era of Hindu Royal Empire. This is said about that this fort was constructed during the 7th to 8th century. According to the authentic tradition that this Tallot Fort was constructed by Raja Tal in 8th century. The stone which was used for the construction of this fort was brought from the nearest city Khushal Garh of Kohat loaded on boats through river. The stone of Local Mountain was not able to use due to the presence of high amount of mixture of clay therefore the fort was constructed after brought stone from the other cities. Many homes were constructed inside this fort beside this many small and big Temples were constructed from which 5 Temples remain till now. The flowers of sunflowers are made on the stones of lime stone in the construction of this fort. It is known after watching the paintings which made on the walls of these Temples that it belongs to the architectural style of Ghandhara and Kashmiri. Many fossils have been discovered from this fort which indicates this thing that here was also a big ocean before crores years ago. The pieces of clay which discovered from here express this thing that there was settled a big civilization. These Temples are also establish till today despite the attacks of Kushan, Ghaznavi and Mughals but the history is keep quiet about these Temples and fort. The information about Hindu Royal Empire is limited in history. Raja Tal brothers were separated from the Kabul Royal which were Buddhist. They accepted Hinduism later they were defeated by Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi in 11th century. During British era for the first time in 1915 the English’s include this fort in Mianwali Gazette as a national heritage. According to English’s here was a big population in ancient time from which traces remain. The Hindu Royal Empire had good relations with Gandharas and Kashmir. According to renowed tourist Al-Biruni that the Raja brothers were Tibet’s and Turks which settled here .Because of Raja Tal, this fort became famous as Tallot Fort. The Hindus called this fort Tallot Fort while the Muslims called this Kafir Kot and also today it is famous with the name of Kafir Kot. The attackers of an ancient time passed through this route to go India from Kabul besides that many trader caravans passed through this route. Raja Tal, Raja Bal and Raja Aklot were three brothers and this fort was constructed by Raja Tal. This fort is also called Kafir Kot North while a fort was constructed by Raja Bal 31 kilometer from here which is called Bilot Fort. The Bilot Fort is called South Kafir Kot. The third brother Aklot settled a city Akra near Bannu which was destroyed by Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi. This Tallot Fort which is called North Kafir Kot is situated near Chashma Barrage in Tehsil Pahar Pur of District Dera Ismail Khan Province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The road which goes from Chashma Barrage towards Lakki Marwat it is also called Dara Tungwala road. This fort is situated on 7 kilometer on this road while 93 kilometer away from Dera Ismail Khan. Now this fort and Temples have been deserted but the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is trying its best to renovate this fort and Temples for the tourists.
