1) If the final consonant is ㅋ, pronounce it as ㄱ
2) If the final consonant is ㅌ, ㅅ, ㅆ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅎ, pronounce them as ㄷ
3) If the final consonant is ㅍ, pronounce it as ㅂ
4) If the double final consonants are a combination of ㄹㄱ, pronounce the letter on the right.
5) If the double final consonants are a combination of ㄹㅁ, pronounce the letter on the right.
6) If the double final consonants are a combination of ㄹㅍ, pronounce them as ㅂ
7) For all other final double consonants combinations, pronounce the consonant on the left.
*linking sounds
1)When the consonant ‘ㅇ’ comes after a final consonant (받침), connect the final consonant with the following vowel.
2)If the previous word ends with a double consonant and the following word starts with ‘ㅇ’, the pronunciation of the double consonant will replace ‘ㅇ’.
3)If the previous word ends with a double consonant and the following word begins with ‘ㅇ’, only the sound of the bottom-right consonant will be carried over to replace the ‘ㅇ’ sound of the following word.
4)If the previous word ends with the consonant ‘ㅎ’ and the following word begins with ‘ㅇ’, omit the sound of ‘ㅎ’ and read the ‘ㅇ’ as normal.
5)If ‘ㅎ’ is the bottom-right consonant of the previous word, and the following word begins with ‘ㅇ’, the pronunciation of the bottom-left consonant is carried over to replace the ‘ㅇ’ sound of the following word. The ‘ㅎ’ remains silent throughout.
