And that’s why you see so many valuing the wrong things.
They value power more than purity.
Being right more than being loving.
Winning arguments more than winning souls.
Law and order more than inner transformation.
Judging others more than checking their own heart.
That’s not the fruit of knowing God.
That’s just religion dressed up to look spiritual.
Jesus flipped all of it on its head.
He said the last will be first.
The greatest is the servant.
And He blessed the meek, the poor in spirit, and the persecuted.
Not the proud, the loud, or the powerful.
And when someone actually walks with God, they don’t get harsher and more arrogant.
They get softer.
They get quieter.
They become more gentle, more aware of their own weakness, more desperate for His mercy.
They don’t walk away with a bigger ego.
They walk away with a limp."
