We spent a week with the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Pro S RWD, the entry trim that starts at $59,995 and comes with a 282-hp, 413 lb-ft single-motor setup powering the rear wheels. The Pro S carries an EPA-estimated 234 miles of range, uses a 91-kWh (gross) battery, and supports roughly 30-minute 10–80% DC fast charging when conditions allow. Our tester was finished in the two-tone Pomelo Yellow Metallic and Candy White, one of several color combinations available across the lineup. Other trims include the Pro S Plus RWD ($63,495), Pro S Plus 4MOTION AWD ($67,995) with the more powerful 335-hp / ~512 lb-ft dual-motor layout and 231-mile range, and the limited 1st Edition versions in both RWD and AWD with exclusive color and interior details.

Across all trims, the ID.Buzz offers the same tall stance, sliding doors, flexible seating configuration, and upright cabin layout that make it functionally closer to a modern electric minivan than an SUV. Single-tone color options include Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, and Metro Silver Metallic, while two-tone choices pair Candy White with shades like Pomelo Yellow, Cabana Blue, Mahi Green, Energetic Orange, and others. During normal daily use — errands, commuting, carrying gear, and shooting content — the Pro S RWD proved easy to maneuver and practical, and the two-tone color scheme generated noticeably more attention than almost anything else we’ve reviewed this year.
