Heartbreak can be devastating. Having gone through it recently, it's a pain you can only begin to understand if you've experienced it personally. For me, it felt as if my lungs had been carved from my chest.

As my chest was aching, I didn't know what to do or how to handle it. I turned to a friend for advice, and he said that I should pour it into creativity. So I decided to make a video that I could empty my soul into. Something that would let me get some of my hurt off my chest, and express what was going on inside my heart.

Ore Monogatari is a series that is absolutely beautiful. It's 20-some minutes of pure happiness condensed into each episode, and it avoid all the typical drama bullsh*t that plagues most romance shows/movies. It's about two good people finding themselves and each other as they grapple with their feelings for each other and how they should act in light of that. It's a powerful show that demonstrates what we can be if we love other people more than ourselves.

You'll Be In My Heart, by Phil Collins, on the other hand, is an amazing song that first debuted in Disney's Tarzan. It's all about pursuing love even when it hurts, and never giving up on the other person. Together, Ore Monogatari and You'll Be In My Heart are about a love that surpasses understanding - a love that binds two people together and empowers them through each other.

That's what I wanted to make a video about.
