Ingredients
Carrot - 2nos .
Beetroot - 1nos.
Green peas - 100gms.
Cabbage sliced - 100gms.
Onion chopped - 1nos.
Ginger crushed - 1 nos.
Green chilli - as needed.
Curry leaves - as needed.
Potato - 2nos(cooked and peeled)
Beaten Egg - 2nos.
Bread crumbs - as desired.
For the masala
Fennel seeds - 1tbsp.
Cardamom - 6nos.
Cloves - 4nos.
Cinnamon - 1nos.
Grind the ingredients listed under ‘ for the masala ‘ to a fine powder.
Method
Cook carrots and beetroots in a steamer. Mash the cooked vegetables and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, ginger and green chilli. Saute for a couple of minutes.
Add garam masala followed by turmeric powder. Mix well.
Add green peas, cabbage and salt. Turn heat to low. Saute for a couple of minutes to cook the vegetables. Add mashed carrot and beetroot. Saute for a couple of minutes at low flame. Switch off flame and allow it to cool.
Crumble potatoes with your hands and add it to the vegetable mixture. Add breadcrumbs to the mixture to make it dry.
Make small balls with the mixture and roll into desired shapes. Dip each of them in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a pan. Turn heat to medium. Deep fry in oil. Move to a serving dish and Enjoy!!!
