Smartphones on the throne might be fueling hemorrhoids. In a new PLOS One study of screening colonoscopy patients, bathroom phone use was linked to longer toilet time and roughly 50% higher odds of hemorrhoids, even after adjusting for age, sex, fiber intake, and straining.
