For context, Overhaul kidnaps Echo and when he finds out that she is Eri's daughter he continues the experimenting he did on Eri. Echo is there for a year and is forced to use her quirk which ends up killing a few people. So when Echo uses her quirk (which she doesn't often) she sometimes gets flashbacks to when happened when she was 4-5.
How Echo's quirk works: Her quirk is called healing water. It works by using the water in the person's body to reverse whatever damage the person has taken. Essentially, it takes the water from the person's body and heals the wounds. Due to this, if she uses her quirk too long on someone, she can kill or hospitalize them due to dehydration.
