DCS F 16 Escort Defending the Strike Eagle Over Syria

Before dawn over the Turkish border, I launch from Incirlik in the F-16 to protect an F-15E heading deep into Syria. Our objective is simple—keep the Strike Eagle alive long enough to cripple a power distribution node at a dam near Jirah ahead of upcoming ground operations.

But halfway in, the RWR lights up. Two MiG-29s push in fast. AWACS calls the BRA, and suddenly the mission becomes a fight for survival. My first AMRAAM misses and I’m immediately forced defensive as radar-guided missiles scream in. Countermeasures empty… fuel burning… pressure rising.

I claw my way back into the fight, lock a close-in bandit, and drop him with a clean AIM-120C. The Strike Eagle finishes the second MiG with a perfect shot. Together we press to the target, deliver steel on the dam’s distribution grid, and escape back toward Turkey before sunrise.

A tense, atmospheric escort flight with a cinematic edge — exactly why we fly DCS.
