24 Hours locked in a Bird Hide | ASMR Nature Sounds | Silent vlog

Join me for a 24-hour silent ASMR adventure inside a bird hide, located on the peaceful island of Marken in the Netherlands, surrounded by the beauty of nature and birdlife. This unique bird hide is locked for 24 hours, allowing me to be completely alone with the birds and the landscape, capturing every moment of tranquility and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Equipped with my photography gear, including a Canon R5 with a 100-500mm lens and a Canon EF 500mm f4, I capture stunning footage of meadow and water birds like black-tailed godwits, lapwings, redshanks, and even a rare visitor—the red-crested pochard. The hide is basic but functional, with a toilet, cooking gear, and plenty of shutters to photograph through. Despite a thunderstorm rolling in and the challenge of photographing through tall grass, the experience of being surrounded by birds is unforgettable.

This is the third time I’ve stayed in this hide, but the first so late in the season, and the atmosphere is different, with changing weather and higher grass. I film everything in a peaceful, silent ASMR style—letting nature do the talking, from the sound of the godwits echoing around the hide to the rustle of wind and rain as a storm approaches.

You'll see moments of quiet solitude as the birds wake up and groom themselves, families of greylag geese wandering by, and a spoonbill braving the storm, allowing me to capture one of my favorite shots of the entire stay.
