Belinda rides out the 'washing machine effect' in crossing a turbulent stretch of the rapid tidal stream in the Gulf of Morbihan in France. Oddly, there is no wind so we have no control. Bee has a paddle at the ready. Even the bigger sail craft can turn 360 in the whirlpools that suddenly appear. We struggle to keep Kingfisher [a Saltern's Tela day sailer] pointing downstream and away from the rocky shoreline. Shot during the 'Semaine du Golfe Festival 2017' - Flotilla #7. It's good fun and slightly weird to a Norfolk Broad sailor but then it's part of the Gulf's unique sailing experience!
