Aventon Ramblas e-MTB: An Older Man’s Take

Aventon has added a new e-bike to their lineup and it’s called the Ramblas and it is an e-MTB….Ramblas meaning: “a dry ravine”

Ramblas is a hard-tail e-MTB built with a 6061 heat-treated aluminum frame, flawless welding and paint, with a 130mm-travel RockShox 35 Silver suspension fork, and powered by a new motor from Aventon - the A100.

In my humble opinion Aventon has done an impressive job featuring a Sram 12-speed drivetrain, a responsive 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes and a dropper seat post.

The whole package at or around $2,600 USD….A100 mid-drive motor with 250 watts of power (750W peak), and higher-than-most 100Nm of torque, is what I enjoy the most. All paired with a removable battery that can give some pretty serious mileage (80 aprox).

The geometry, in my opinion, mimics modern day hardtails so it has a great feel on the trails be it flat or technical and going up or down hills.

In summary Ramblas is crazy fun and ready to be ridden from day one, which is becoming something rare in our days with new products…I am fully satisfied with my decision and have zero regrets.
