🇵🇭🇦🇺 Filipino Breakfast on Channel 7 Sunrise – A Historic First in Doonside

November 6, 2025 marked a proud moment for Filipinos in Australia as Channel 7 Sunrise featured the Filipino community live for the first time, broadcasting from the Doonside Community Centre. More than 200 Filipinos arrived before sunrise to represent Pusong Pinoy on national TV.

The first live cross aired at 5:45 AM with Sam Mac greeting the energetic Filipino crowd. Featured on-air were:

The karaoke moment with Sam Mac was a crowd favourite — singing, dancing, and celebrating Filipino joy live on TV.

Showcased dances included:

Rita Agostino Cultural Dance Group – Dayang Dayang

SLU Alumni Australia – Bendian Dance

These performances highlighted Filipino heritage, pride, and tradition.

🍞 Filipino Breakfast for All

Starlight Bakery donated fresh pandesal and bread, with free coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks from community supporters. PACSI provided flags, and Tatak Pinoy supplied a festive Christmas parol.
