Bahlam Beek - 17th Annual Live Music Summer Intensive

As part of the 17th Annual Live Music Summer Intensive produced by Jrisi and the Hathor Dance Studio, this extraordinary performance emerged from a dynamic two-day program. The dancers—many of whom had never worked together before—collaborated closely with the Sydney Arabic Music Ensemble in a true creative partnership. Together, they crafted, staged, and performed a unique piece that reflects the synergy of music and movement.

This intensive is designed to help dancers conquer the often "daunting" experience of performing to live Arabic music. Under the expert guidance of director and facilitator Jrisi Jusakos, co-facilitator and choreographer Virginia Masri, and the skilled musicians of the ensemble, participants journeyed through the entire creative process—from concept to stage.
