This film shows the cherry-picking season in Elst. The film, shot on a sunny day, looks cheerful and light. A man on a long ladder picks the cherries that grow high up in the tree. Every fifteen minutes, the cherry-pickers gather at the sorting table. A hunter keeps the starlings at bay.

Four girls ' the intertitles refer to them as 'the starlings' ' pick cherries and eat them with great relish. The film ends with shots of Elst, filmed from a car.

Documentaire over de kersentijd in het dorp Elst in de Betuwe.

Deze film toont de kersenpluk in Elst. De film, op een zonnige dag opgenomen, oogt opgewekt en licht. Een man op een lange ladder plukt de kersen die hoog in de boom groeien. Elk kwartier verzamelen de plukkers zich bij de sorteertafel. Een spreeuwenjager verjaagt de spreeuwen.
Vier meisjes - in de tussentitels worden zij 'de spreeuwen' genoemd - plukken kersen en eten deze met smaak op. De film eindigt met opnamen van Elst, genomen vanaf een auto.
