I'm not sure mental training is actually a thing in Naruto lol people just mature over time. I just like the idea of Jiraiya moulding Naruto into his version of a good shinobi.
Why does Naruto go everywhere with the big ass eagle? Because it's just faster and less tiring than doing the journey on foot, simples.
I'm not sure you can pull someone out of the Phantom Dragons Nine Consuming Seals jutsu (because it never happened), but like Itachi said, every jutsu has a weakness... and since they got Gaara early enough, the seal is only slightly broken, which Chiyo can fix on her own.
Lastly, why did Naruto keep Deidara alive? For em Akatsuki secrets, take him back to the Leaf, and let big man Ibiki do the rest.
