Digging Trilobites at Flat Run Fossils – Ohio’s Newest Quarry!

I visited Ohio’s new trilobite quarry, the amazing Flat Run Fossils! You all know my love for trilobites and all things fossil, and I can’t rate this place high enough. There were so many incredible fossils, from shells to corals, but the ones I was most excited about were trilobites and cephalopods.

While I didn’t find any cephalopods this time, I did uncover an amazing Isotelus and a great number of Flexicalymene specimens. The variety and quality of fossils here are incredible, and I can’t wait to return to see if I can pull a museum-quality Isotelus of my own.
