Darrell Ward & Angelica Larsson - GATS

This video captures a moment that will never come again.

GATS 2016 was the last truck show Darrell Ward ever attended before his tragic passing. Thanks to DSI, Swedish trucker Angelica Larsson was flown to Texas to join us at the show — a dream come true for her. It was her first time sitting behind the wheel of a North American big rig, and Darrell, always larger than life, was right there encouraging her, laughing, and sharing the moment the way only Darrell could.

I filmed this (Bruce Lacasse) live from the back of the rig as Darrell tested out the new Cummins X15, joked with the crowd, and helped introduce Angelica to the American trucking world. These clips are unedited, raw, and exactly as they happened — a snapshot of a weekend filled with excitement, laughter, and memories none of us knew would become so important.

A moment in time.
A legend at his last show.
And a young trucker taking her first steps onto the North American stage.
