In Manipur, 30-year-old David Thiek of Langza village, Churachandpur, was beheaded and murdered by a mob on 2 July. Speaking to The Quint, his uncle said that David, along with the other volunteers, was guarding the village when militants with firearms and weapons stormed in. While the others escaped, David was caught.
