How to Make a Scrap Wood X Design Cutting Board

If your scrap wood pile is as out of control as mine is, this is a great project to make a dent in that pile and give you something useful to make from it.

This X design is probably a little unique and uncommon because of wood movement concerns. I totally get that. However, this was just a fun scrap wood project that I'm using myself and if it warps or cracks a little, it's just a cutting board...nothing life or death.

Most likely it will just be another one of those cutting board decorations that just leans against my kitchen wall, so as long as it stays pretty, I'm cool with that ;)

Which brings me to inform you of all the cool uses this project can have other than "just a cutting board"...like: decor, serving tray, serving platter, TV dinner tray (oh, wait...is that just me??), centerpiece display, etc. SO basically, #allthethings

So dig around your scrap pile and start making :)
