In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to make a sponge cake. This homemade sponge cake recipe is easy to make from scratch and only requires three ingredients! This cake is perfect for the base for a strawberry shortcake or numerous other types of cakes you may want to make, start with this, and then do whatever toppings and decorations you want. 6 large eggs (room temperature)
1 cup of white granulated sugar (200g)
1 cup of cake flour or all-purpose (plain) flour (125g)
