God is the greatest innovator of them all. All you have to do is read
Genesis 1. In the beginning, God created. I would say He’s got a lock on
true innovation. Isaiah 43:19 might be the theme of the Bible stated in one
verse: God, creating, redeeming what He has created, and doing new things
to accomplish His purposes. Throughout Scripture we find this “newness.”
Jesus brought an announcement of a new way to live. He became the new
way to get right with God and a new covenant with God. Newness is God’s
plan of redemption, right up through Revelation, where we learn of plans for
a new heaven and new earth and “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I
am making everything new!’” (Revelation 21:5). Everything.
