A three-judge panel appointed by the Chief Justice of India visited Justice Yashwant Varma's residence to investigate the recovery of half-burnt cash. The Allahabad High Court Bar Association announced an indefinite strike from 25th March to protest Justice Varma's proposed transfer. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar met opposition leaders and the leader of the house to discuss the issue. The cash was recovered on March 14 when a fire broke out at Justice Verma's residence.
