After years of dealing with the noisy rattle of my key machine, I finally found a permanent fix. I tried everything—I soundproofed the machine's base and even added a special sound-isolating platform, but the vibration and noise still carried through my workbench. I knew the only way to truly solve the problem was to tackle the source of the vibration: the workbench itself.
In this video, I'll walk you through the arduous four-hour process of transforming my workbench into a sound-deadening masterpiece. With the crucial help of my amazing wife, I removed the drawers, laid on my back, and meticulously applied a full three layers of the SILESS sound deadening material to the underside of the bench. It was a grueling, frustrating, and incredibly difficult task, but the effort was worth it. We then followed up with three layers of the AggSound foam for extra absorption.
