In this video, I compare the two kinds of fountain pen I have purchased: a standard fountain pen and a flex fountain pen. Both have their own uses but truly the flex is meant for calligraphy regardless of the marketing of the products online.

The Himalaya V2 is a beautiful flex fountain pen that allows you to write calligraphy without all the hassle of dipping into ink all the time. You must have your own ink to use this effectively with the converter.

The Dryden designs fountain pen is a good monoline pen for smooth everyday writing. Ink cartridges come with it but can use your own ink.
