RIVER RIDGE GOLF CLUB | Vinyard Knockdown

Welcome to Black Crown Golf. The mission is simple: Showcase all of the popular golf courses in Southern California and bring some friends along for the journey.

Today we have my Aroma bro Chris joining us at River Ridge Golf Club playing at the Vineyard course. I used to see Chris working at Aroma a lot and sometime's I'd see him on the mats getting in some range time himself. I noticed he had a pretty nice swing and one day we said hi and here we are. This young buck has a lot of potential to be a great golfer. His ball striking is great and his swing is consistent. He did warn me that his short game is a mess and usually that's where most of our unwanted strokes come from. Perhaps instead of Aroma, we can meet at short game facilities to work on it together.

Seo Young and Charlene joined us in our group while Sean, Brian, Jin and Sharon were right behind us. I love how everyone's able to come out to golf together but my biggest concern is finding courses with back to back tee times since it's been a bit crazy trying to find just 1 primetime tee time on Saturdays. It's great that a lot of new golfers had emerged since covid but at the same time it has saturated the courses and golf ranges. Hopefully the new golfers that decided not to take golf too seriously will open up more times for the oldies and newbies who do want to take it seriously and enjoy golf.
