Initial vacuum chamber testing using an Edwards RV3 rotary vane pump.
This first run is a basic leak and hold test to verify pump health and system integrity before adding instrumentation.
The chamber was pumped down past the resolution of the Pennwalt gauge, approaching the RV3’s rated performance (~10⁻³ torr). This setup will be used for low-pressure testing of electronics and materials under simulated high-altitude conditions.
