Northern Mali Conflict & Spillover - Every Day (2012-Present)

The Northern Mali Conflict started out as a Tuareg Rebellion and evolved into a major theater of the War on Terror, while Mali had experienced a Tuareg Rebellion as well as a Al-Qaeda insurgency prior to the Northern Mali Conflict, the difference was that the MNLA, a Tuareg Rebel group formed in Libya during the Libyan Civil War had moved to Mali, allied with Al-Qaeda and took near complete control of Northern Mali, however, Al-Qaeda would fight against the MNLA and take control of much of the region, only to be pushed back by a UN-French coalition, however, over the years Al-Qaeda has endured and spread further south, and moved into Burkina Faso, the Islamic State would also gain ground and spread into Algeria to Benin, this video shows the entire conflict from start to today.
