Nairobi has been under the grip of rising insecurity that has spread to locations considered to be among the safest in the city. Karen, Runda, Lavington and the outskirts of Rongai and Kiserian have been hit by a wave of insecurity targeting homes. The irony is these residences arguably boast some of the best personal security arrangements and home owners, shocked by the audacity and recurrence of the crime, have abandoned their prized homes for the nondescript safety of rented houses..
