An elongated, timber-clad addition projects from the original Victorian cottage, forming what the architects describe as a ‘shadow’—a low, darkened silhouette that sits quietly within the landscape.
North-facing glazing, generous eaves and recycled materials create spaces defined by warmth and durability, while compact planning, passive solar performance and salvaged finishes reflect a sustainable, low-impact approach grounded in care for place.
