Amazing Marco Piccinotti violin demonstration by Markiyan Melnychenko

Marco Piccinotti has more than four decades of experience as a luthier and has studied the most prominent Italian violin makers of all time, ranging from the classical to the modern era.

We are privileged to have one of Marco Piccinotti's violins currently available in the Bows for Strings showroom, and equally privileged to have remarkable solo violinist Markiyan Melnychenko demonstrating the range of this fine instrument.

This violin was crafted in Piccinotti's workshop in 2022 in Cremona, Italy. Markiyan plays a scale and brief excerpt to demonstrate the beautiful tone of the instrument.

The piece played is Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor Op. 64.
