Welcome to Road & Track's 2026 Performance Car of the Year test. Come with us as we push nine different performance cars to their limits, on the track and on the road, over a week-long test in Northern California.

This year, we've brought together the Audi RS3, BMW M5 Touring, Chevy Corvette ZR1, Ford Mustang GTD, Lamborghini Temerario, Mercedes-AMGGT 63 Pro 4Matic+, Mini Cooper JCW, Porsche 911 GT3, and Volkswagen Golf R. We put them to the test at Thunderhill Raceway Park's west course and through the backcountry of Sonoma County.
