Onboard 22 year old A340 HB-JMC for the short ride across Europe from Pristina, in Kosovo to Zurich, Switzerland. Possibly my last time on an Edelweiss A340 as the first one has already left the fleet for retirement as the A350s get introduced more & more.
Yes, a short flight for an A340. But a high load factor. 276 passengers + 12 infants. So it makes sense using the bigger aircraft. The negative side to this flight was the delay. Over 6 hours behind schedule due to "operational reasons". Not good at all.
I was seated in seat 8A, allowing for a beautiful engine / wing view. Once airborne climbed to 40,000ft heading north west. Some shots of the seat area, snack & drink offered and a glance of the forward economy cabin on the A340. Before starting our descent into a very grey, dull evening in Zurich arriving at 18:17. - 6 hours 17 minutes behind our schedule of 12pm.
Apologies for any background noise. I was surrounded by some disgusting people. The person behind sniffing and snorting like a pig for the majority of the flight and the woman next to me switching it up between coughing, sneezing and then fell asleep and snoring extremely loud.
