This was a roller coaster of a session, felt like the final test before the WR.
Starting from round 129, having accumulated over 100K points, I switched to the triple trap strategy for a time optimization, and to test it. When playing with novas on the Wii, this strat puts you on a hefty points loss. I already knew this, as I was planning on reverting back to the usual strat when I would run low on points. However, on round 132, I took an unexpected down soon after I had used up all my points for triple trap, which resulted in not being able to buy back the perks on the spot (2:19:46). I went up to jug and tried getting it without realizing I didn't have the money, thankfully though I recovered successfully with no casualties, just used up all the monkey bombs.
Round 133 is when things started getting sketchy. Due to a chain of events since the last max ammo, I had run very low on thundergun ammo. It eventually came down to 1 bullet, which I unfortunately wasted by accidentally tapping the fire button when I exited a pause screen (4:26:11). So I had to trade it out.
Trade took 26 box hits, with the box rotating from fire trap to alley, stage, balcony, theater, and finally dressing room. My trading process was very long and slow, as I was very scared of taking any risks without access to panic weapons. Even like this, there was a close call where I almost got cornered around the lobby stairs, or when I accidentally activated the lobby-to-theater electric trap, which was dangerous as it wiped out the horde that I was already training and initiated new spawns. I decided to upgrade the crossbow to the Awful Lawton when I got it, as a layer of protection.
Unfortunately, I took my 3rd down at the end of the balcony session (4:56:48). I was met with an unexpected nova crawler in front of me while the horde was chasing me. That happened when I decided to not run the full loop of the theater before hitting the box again, but cut it short, because I felt more confident with the Awful Lawton now in hand. But when the time came to use it, I was caught by surprise when it did not attract all the zombies, which was another reason for this down. To be frank, I hadn't used this weapon since 2010, I thought it would work like monkey bombs, but I was wrong. Looking back, I could have had a much better chance dealing with that single nova, if I would have just went through the whole loop, no matter how slow or unnecessary it might have looked.
With the box rotating back to the theater and dressing room, I even had to resort to knifing zombies at one point to get enough points to buy a wall weapon and farm more points, because I was not shooting while hoarding much during the trade for safety reasons.
Round 133 lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes, which is about 40 extra minutes than what it would have taken if I didn't have to trade. Finally, retrieving the thundergun, finishing up the round and getting 4-rounder dogs for the WR, felt extremely relieving.

Main differences of unpatched compared to patched:
Minimal fire damage, about 1hp
Can manually reload thundergun
Can't jump over novas
