Air-to-ground video of Michael KF6WRW on third jump for Parachute Mobile Mission 42. This mission was in conjunction with Pacificon held at San Ramon Marriott hotel.
Michael KF6WRW is the first of our Parchute Mobile group to make radio contact while under canopy. It began with meeting Mark AF6IM at a dropzone, both find out each are into ham radio. So one day Michael place a handheld in his jumpsuit on a skydive, exit and deploy canopy, and made a contact with Mark who was driving in Palo Alto. From there is where PM grew to what it is now.
Michael was also the first to fly with air-to-ground video. There was much experimentation with various transmitters and antennas and different bands.
Transmitter is a 5.8 GHz Black Mamba TX5820-V2 made for hobbyist RC/drone aircraft. Receiver is a Lumenier RX5GDR V2 48CH 5.8 GHz AV diversity model. Video recorded with a Eachine model ProDVR, NTSC standard definition though DVR recorded in higher pixel size.
Audio video is from a microphone placed near myself connected to mixer to feed audio input of DVRs.
