Production Kickoffs at Impro Mexico SLP Manufacturing Campus

On Nov. 18, 2021, Impro announced production kickoffs for its sand casting plant and precision machining plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Impro is a leading global manufacturer of high-precision, high-complexity, mission-critical castings and machined components. Since its inception in 1998, Impro has expanded its manufacturing footprint from China to Europe and North America. The new plants in Mexico are established to continue Impro’s unique business model by offering customers comprehensive one-stop component solutions covering new product development, casting, machining, heat treatment, testing, surface treatment, assembly, and supply chain services.
From land acquisition in April 2019 to Nov. 18, 2021, the Impro team has made tremendous efforts to get to this historic moment. The added new capabilities and capacity will allow Impro to produce critical components for the automotive, industrial equipment, and other end markets. The sand casting plant is equipped with two green sand casting lines - Sinto Automatic Molding line and KW Static Pressure Molding Lines with an annual capacity of 60K tons. The new precision machining plant has the latest CNC machines, gun drilling machines, electrochemical machining, and automated inspection and assembly lines. There are three other plants currently under construction. One is an investment casting plant for the automotive and industrial market, one is an aerospace components plant, and the third is dedicated to surface treatment. All three are expected to be put into production in 2022.
