"Frequencies of the Faceless" is an epic 7-track concept album telling a technological horror story set in 1987 Istanbul. The tale of a young radio repairman who makes contact with a mysterious broadcast on "the frequency between" and becomes listened to by faceless entities comes to life through 1970s Anatolian psychedelic rock sound.
The Story: In the "Silence and Sound" radio repair shop inherited from his grandfather, a young repairman finds a strange radio. Named "The One Who Listens," this device has three settings on its dial: "Past," "Present," and "The Between." When tuned to the latter, he begins receiving a broadcast from a woman singing in an unknown language. But this is no ordinary transmission—it's a personal call, an address, an invitation. As he investigates, he discovers a terrifying truth: some broadcasts aren't meant to be heard, some listeners aren't human, and some frequencies erase identity itself.
"Frequencies of the Faceless" is a work of sonic fiction—a love letter to 1970s Anatolian psychedelic rock, analog technology, and psychological horror. It explores our relationship with broadcasting technology, the erosion of privacy, and the terrifying possibility that what we transmit might eventually transmit us.
The album exists in the liminal space between past and present, human and machine, listener and broadcast. It asks: In an age of constant transmission, do we control the signals, or do the signals control us?
